Dimitar for sale?

Dimitar for sale?

In addition to watching games in India I, like most other football fans, like to watch the EPL (English Premier League). It is the richest and most exciting league in the world. This weekends games were fabulous and one stood out above all the others, especially given the Indian connection.
Blackburn Rovers you see have just become Indian owned and they were visiting the mighty Manchester United. I had it live on TV and settled back with a can of Fosters and some nuts and chilled out in front of an absolute classic game. Manchester United put seven past Blackburn Rovers with five of those goals courtesy of United’s Bulgarian striker Dimitar Berbatov.
Now it was only last week that rumours arose of him moving on in the January transfer window although Manchester United moved quickly to quash these. They had originally been attributed to his agent and then with Berbatov’s display at the weekend you have to wonder if there is more or less to this than meets the eye.
Why would any team want to get rid of a player so obviously gifted? Yes it has been said that he is lazy but this in fact may simply be that he is so talented he does not need to break into a sweat to achieve his goals. The fact is he does score a heck of a lot of goals and has a fine assist rate.
However if he was thinking of moving on, possibly to get more first team football or just to get away from that cold and dour north English climate then it would make sense to put yourself firmly at the front of the shop window. Maybe his agent has suggested to him that a few goals could go a long way in terms of air miles to the sun of Spain or Italy?
